Proceed onto Madaba, home to one of the oldest mosaic maps of the Holy Land in the world. Continue to Machaerus (aka Mukawir). It was here, Herod Antipas the son of Herod, imprisoned and beheaded John the Baptist after Salome's fateful dance. Transfer to Mövenpick Petra for overnight stay.

Depart from Petra and travel to Wadi Rum for two hours Jeep tour of this fascinating desert and proceed to Lot's Cave where Lot and his two daughters survived after one of the most dramatic and enduring of all the Old Testament stories. Lot's wife was turned into a pillar of salt for disobeying God's will and Lot fled with his daughters to a cave near the small town of Zoar (aka Safi). Overnight stay at Marriott Dead Sea.
Morning to enjoy the dramatic landscape of the Dead Sea. In the afternoon proceed to Bethany Beyond the Jordan, the site where John the Baptist carried out his ministry and Jesus was baptised. Return to Amman for overnight stay in the Intercontinental Hotel.
Travel to Pella, one of the most significant ancient sites in Jordan which is favoured by archaeologists for its huge collection of antiquities. Continue to Umm Qais, the site of the famous miracle of the Gadarene swine. Then it's on to Jerash, before returning back to Amman for an overnight stay.
Transfer to Amman Airport for departure.
