Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival & Wine Tasting with dinner

Arrival at Bologna airport (before 11.00). Transfer to the award winning winery “Fattoria Zerbina” near Faenza.

We will meet with Cristina and Vincenzo, the third generation of the Gemignani’s Family who will proudly guide us through the vineyards, the cellars and finally we will taste a selection of their award winning wines amongst which we withe Albana Passito and Sangiovese Superiore Riserva served with a light buffet.

Transfer to the 4* Condè Wine Resort & SPA, check-in and rest of the day at your disposal to relax and unwind or you can enjoy the beautiful SPA facilities with an indoor swimming pool overlooking the Condé vineyards. At 8pm Tasting Dinner will be served at the superb restaurant in the resort where traditional dishes with a modern twist will be paired with some of their finest wine selection.

Day 2

Full day touring with wine tasting & pasta making

Buffet style breakfast.

At 9.45am departure towards the spectacular winery “Tenuta La Palazza”. Owned by the Drei Doná family since the beginning of the last century The Estate has always dedicated their activities in producing Sangiovese grapes and thanks to the effort of present owner Count Claudio Drei Doná and his son Enrico has undergone a radical transformation raising the level of objectives to the highest standard and consequently into award winning wines. You will be guided through the beautiful vineyards to the state of the art cellars with a guided wine tasting of their best Sangiovese selection.

A short drive from Tenuta la Palazza you will find Forlimpopoli which is so dear to us as is where Pellegrino Artusi was born in 1820. He wrote the first scientific cookery book which has now been translated in several languages, latest one being Portuguese and rightly revered as the Bible of Italian cooking.

You will visit Casa Artusi which houses the Artusi Cookery School where you will master your pasta making skills as well as the restaurant where you will enjoy a traditional lunch with dishes from the book “Science in the kitchen and the art of healthy eating”.

Late afternoon returns to the wine resort and rest of the day at your disposal to enjoy and relax in the spa facilities or if you still feel picky then the two restaurant in the resort will certainly fill any gap left.

Day 3

Wine Tasting Tour at Tenuta Mara

Buffet style breakfast.

At 9.30am departure to San Clemente and visit one of the first Biodynamic wineries in Emilia-Romagna “Tenuta Mara” where you will have a sublime experience visiting the vineyards, the cellars and reaching the top when together with the sommelier Davide you will taste the award winning 100% Sangiovese “Tenuta Maramia”.

Transfer to the organic farm and wine producer “Villa Venti”. You will be served lunch in the best Romagnola Tradition accompanied by the organic wines and guided by the sommelier who will explain the philosophy behind these beautiful wines. In the afternoon returns to the wine resort and rest of the day at your disposal.

Day 4

Full day tour with wine tasting and light lunch

Buffet style breakfast.

At 10.00am departure toward the nearby Bertinoro and visit the “Fattoria Paradiso” whose founder created the D.O.C. appellation for the Sangiovese wine transforming it from just a grape used for blending into a wine of world-wide recognition that delighted the tables of Ronald Reagan and the Pope John Paul The 2nd.

Visit the vineyards and the cellars where you will find one of the best wine collection you’ll ever see. A guided wine tasting accompanied by a light buffet will highlight your visit. Short transfer to the village of Bertinoro of Roman origins for a stroll along the cobbled street, visit some of the most significant sites like the 16th century cathedral or the Palazzo Comunale built around the year 1000 and you can stop in one of the traditional trattoria for a light lunch.

Early afternoon returns to Condé resort rest of the day at your disposal to enjoy the spa or just relax and in the evening gala dinner accompanied by the Condé wines.

Day 5

Transfer to the airport

Buffet style breakfast. In the morning transfer to Bologna airport.
