Auberge de Cavaliere is a resort hotel set on the banks of the famous lagoons in Languedoc and close to the Mediterranean sea. Here you can enjoy a wealth of experiences such as relaxing at the Spa, hiring bikes, swimming in the outdoor pool, riding one of the beautiful white horses along the beach, hiring quad bikes or enjoying a private dinner on the beach. Accomodation is in the traditional Cabanes de Gardiens (thatched style cottages). There is so much to see and do in the surrounding area: Aigues Mortes is surrounded by lagoons and is famous for its medieval military architecture. Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, where Auberge is located, is famous for being the place where Mary Magdalene is supposed to have lived. It is said she arrived here by boat in 40 B.C. and lived here until her death. It is now a centre of Pilgrimage. Both Aigues Mortes and Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer feature in Dan Brown’s Da Vinci Code and in subsequent books. Tourists come from far and wide for their own personal Da Vinci code quest!!
