I founded the Discovery Collection three years ago with over 10 years experience in travel in both tour operating and the airline business. I wanted to create a travel company that was small, friendly, caring and informative, just the qualities I look for when I book my own holidays. Offering personal service to ensure your complete satisfaction has always been our top priority and three years on I am very proud of what we have created. The Discovery Collection is a company that is well-established and known for its high quality, and superb understanding service. So far none of our competitors comes close to rivalling us in this respect. Our regulars no longer even ask for a quotation for their forthcoming holidays as they know that we will be very competitive taking into account the holiday they will receive, and that everything will be handled on an individual basis to their complete satisfaction. We believe that no one is rich enough to waste money on a badly organised holiday. Your holiday is very important to us and we will take the utmost care to find the best option for you – with no hard sales tactics - and we will make sure that we follow through on everything we have said we will do.

Our ethos is to deliver affordable, good value for money holidays without compromising the quality, so you can have a great holiday experience from the moment you first contact us until your return. After studying the many hotels and self-catering establishments available in the destinations we offer, we have handpicked the small number of establishments which we believe offer the best choice of location, service and facilities. Since we are only working with a select number of hotels and have an excellent relationship with them all, we are very sure that our customers will receive a warm welcome from the owners and staff alike.

We believe in customer service before, during and after your holiday. Your hosts at your accommodation will do everything in their power to enable you to enjoy your holiday to the full. Our representatives in the resort are not sales people - they are purely there for your comfort and to meet your needs. In other words they are there as much or as little as you need them. Our policy of employing only local people to look after you has proved itself very strongly over the years. We are very proud of our hard working team and have received countless letters from our clients to tell us how helpful and knowledgeable they found our overseas staff to be. Many of our existing clients go back year after year and consider our local staff to be old friends.

Our philosophy is to steer clear of large establishments instead introducing you to smaller charming hotels which are more focussed on customer service. Over the years this has been one of our strongest features, and we only make an exception for those larger establishments, which, despite their size, take the same approach as a small establishment treating our guests as individuals. I am sure it is this which is responsible for the remarkably low level of complaints that we have received from our customers. We have received less than 10 complaints in over 3 years of tour operating and all of these have been resolved to the customer's satisfaction. On the other hand, we regularly receive letters complimenting us on our service, some of which we have used in our 2006 brochure.

Each year we introduce new destinations to our programme to offer a better choice and provide alternative destinations for our regular customers.
